The Cotswolds

the cotswoldsThere is something quintessentially English about the Cotswolds. Perhaps it is the local honey-coloured limestone which gives the area and its buildings such wonderful cohesiveness. Maybe it is just its gentle hillsides, beautiful towns and sleepy villages. Whatever it is, the Cotswolds have so much to offer as a place to live, work or visit. As an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, its landscape of stone walls, rolling grasslands, woodlands and villages is unsurpassed.

cotswoldsThere are also the historic and beautiful towns and cities including the Regency splendour of Cheltenham and the Georgian grandeur of Bath, lovely market towns such as Burford, Chipping Norton, Cirencester, Stow-on-the-Wold and many picture postcard villages such as  Painswick and Winchcombe. The list is endless.

cotswoldsWhilst set in this English idyll, communications to all parts of the country are simple with an Intercity rail link to London Paddington and the M4 and M5 motorways close to hand. The area also benefits from having access to excellent schools and shops as well as widely varied recreational facilities throughout the region.
